So my new blog buddy Sarah lives in Hawaii and signs off as Sarah-Kala. I looked up 'kala' to see what it means and the definition is basically - 'forgiven.' How beautiful is that?!
So I looked up the Hawaiian word for 'messenger' - as the name Angela means messenger and at one time my blog was named 'Angela Messenger' - and I came up with the name Kukini.
Kukini means ""runner, swift messenger, as employed by old chiefs, with a premium on their speed." Even cooler - Hickham Air Force Base on Oahu has named their newsletter "Kukini." These days I like having that connection to the military - and I did see the base (while driving by) back in 1988 when I visited Hawaii.
So...you can now call me Angela-Kukini LOL! Or is that ...a-LOL-ha?!
